Fostering lighting design with cutting-edge skills, innovative methods and tools will ensure the quality assurance and standardization of light in both research and industry. The research group will work in many fields of built environment, such as in healthcare, education, retail, entertainment and media sectors.

The daylight research group will cover crucial concepts across different domains, such as, photometry, light metrics, visual comfort, light modelling and simulation, relation of light to the building materials, light performance and optimization for existing configuration, improved light design proposals, climate analysis, engaging technology and innovation in light education, and finally relation of light to the human being.
